For fresh or soft snow, we advise you to sand the friction surface of the slides with an abrasive belt or 80 grit sandpaper moving from the tip to the end of the slides, not transversely.

After sanding, clean the blades with wax or nitro solvent.

Allow the detergent to dry thoroughly and then treat the blades with neutral wax or with a ski wax in a tube suitable for the temperature.

The special steel slides are not stainless, therefore they must be dried immediately after use and, if necessary, treated again with wax. The wax treatment hinders the formation of rust and improves the sliding qualities of the blades.

In the summer, clean and wax the slides well, so that they cannot rust in the summer months.

Place the sledge in an isolated horizontal or vertical position, avoiding to load it unevenly and to rest it against the wall. Store the sledge in a dry and not too hot place. Do not expose to direct sunlight.
